There’s something so pure and direct about Elisa Mazzone‘s illustrations. Yet, there’s so much duality and complexity. I especially love the balance of soft and hard; precision and uncertainty; solid and flat versus translucent and dimensional.

We’ve had a lovely run of Sprummer weather (as if spring and summer were one season) here in Toronto these last few weeks. However, it seems we’re to have a turn this weekend… clouds, seasonal temperatures and rain (the latter of which is much needed so really…this isn’t me complaining or anything).
So… In an effort to stay in a ‘Sprummer State of Mind’, I thought I’d share these lovely sketches by the very talented, Vera Wang. Swirling. Blossoming. Sultry. Exuberant. Radiant. Feels like Sprummer to me!
