Warm and cozy blankets are a “must have” this wintery season – and full proof gift giving mastery no matter who you buy them for. And these Norwegian cozies are so special! Modern in design and pattern, but traditional in its material and construction.
I couldn’t decide which one I wanted more… you pick!
See these (The Power Collection and Gullfuglen) and more from Funkleshop.

One side, modern and masculine. The other side, classic and feminine. This dreamy dressing room has it all. Not to mention a most covetable wardrobe! It’s from the set of Sex And The City 2 and it’s a lovely evolution of the first ‘really big closet’ featured in the first movie. Obviously, Carrie and Big have had equal say… even though Carrie’s wardrobe seems to be spilling over to ‘his’ side!
Ok… I know it’s not a real place, but I think I’d be quite happy here. Even if it meant it came with a full movie making camera crew. ;)

Light and finely crafted (best looking plywood I’ve ever seen), these wooden pieces are more than just eyewear. They are ‘spectacles’!
I spotted them while shopping in and around the famed Viktualienmarkt in Munich. For more colours, shapes and wood species… click here. I’m partial to these, Terra Mata in Nut, but might be persuaded towards the Wenge finish too! Decisions, decisions…
And if you’re wanting even more of this look…check out this earlier post on wooden timepieces, er, watches!

Autumn is here!
That means all those neon and/or pastel nail colours need to be retired. These are my picks from Scotch Naturals:
- Stone Fence
- Kilt Lifter
- Flying Scotsman
- Seething Jealousy
Ok… I confess. It’s not just about these colours. I’m loving everything else about this nail polish:
- Paraben Free
- Toxin and Fragrance Free
- Cruelty Free…. and the list goes on!

A modern interior need not be cool, edgy and stark. It can be warm, rough-hewn and natural. Case in point… Fashion designer Jenni Kayne’s home comes together with travertine, salvaged pine siding, hand-hewn oak and board-formed concrete. Warm shades of grey and tan and cream.
I love the fireplace and especially how it is mirrored on the exterior of the home. What a great setting for an outdoor room!
The artwork is key for me in the Master Bedroom. Scale… So important.
And what lucky kids to have such a great playroom! That Beni Ourain rug is simply beautiful.

I don’t know about you but I don’t normally ‘work out’ when I’m on vacation. It’s pretty much the last thing I would want to do.
But… if I did, I’d definitely travel with these handy (some would even say ‘nifty’) garment bags so that in a mad rush to the airport, after having run a cool 5km on the treadmill, I could throw all my sweaty work out gear into this bag and keep it from co-mingling with my other not-so-sweaty clothes! Hooray for keeping stinky away from not so stinky! Because everyone knows… stinky spreads! ;)
