Interiors: Wythe Hotel
June 4, 2012 § 2 Comments
Rustic industry meets hipster chic… The new Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, NY is a cool mix of both. Formerly a textile factory, this new hotel located across the East River has been painstakingly renovated to incorporate 72 rooms, a restaurant and a rooftop bar (of course… it is New York after all… rooftop whatever is mandatory).
What excites me about this (another new hotel in NY):
- wallpaper (original to the building) has been re-hashed and you can purchase it yourself!
- exposed brick walls
- cast-iron columns
- pine beams and ceilings
- mosaic floor tile in the restaurant… love that octagonal pattern!!
- and my favourite… breath-taking views of the island of Manhattan
Wonder how much the cab ride into town would be? ;)
