Interiors: Got Ruffalo’d

May 8, 2012 § 6 Comments

I just watched Mark Ruffalo (the HULK) in an interview where he describes something called ‘getting Ruffalo’d’. His friends have coined the saying and it means where bad luck seemingly becomes good luck in the future (he’s had a series of these instances it seems).

Anyway, it reminded me of this Montreal home renovation featured in Dwell Magazine. The owners of this 800 square foot home wanted to add a second floor and waited a year to hire architect Marc-André Plasse only to find that the foundations of said home were not supportive of a second floor (wa, wa, waaaa). Seemingly, bad luck.

Determined to add more space for his clients, the architect created a multi-level space and the result is this open, bright and delightful volume of space! So much better than just a second floor addition!

I’d say this home ‘got Ruffalo’d’. See… how I connected the two!? lol
