Interiors: Personal Backstory
March 30, 2012 § 2 Comments
Being the daughter of two very well known fashion-involved parents may not mean you’ll be gifted with any kind of creative bone in your body… but Patricia Herrera Lansing seems to have the touch.
Featured in this Vogue article, Lansing’s home is full of her favourite things.
Loads of colour, pattern and beautiful large-scale art pieces make up the interior of her family’s Manhattan home. I’m amazed at the mingling of small and medium sized prints against large swatches of bold colour. And I love modern patterns on traditional upholstered furniture. But what I love most is Lansing’s selection of art, especially the one hung in the Dining Room. I’d love to have Lansing herself walk us through her home and recount it’s backstory.
My own professional secret: Make every client’s home personal to them! That way, I really have no excuse but to leave when it’s all done. Shucks darn it!

A great space with good bones to start, lovely proportions to the dining room and high ceilings throughout her home.
Love her colors, and choice of patterns, simple yet with flare. And I love that she really personalized her space with the great wall of photos, both in the dining room and throughout.
Beautiful.
The one thing that bugs me about this dining room is the height of the chandelier… it’s hung waaaaaaaay too high! Outside of that, it’s my favourite room in this home. lol
The one in the kitchen is much better situated.
